We Are Our Ancestors
Solo Exhibition  at X Gallery Nov. 29th 2018 - Jan. 31st 2019
 
The concept for this exhibit was formed while I was walking through the Africa and Oceania exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum. As I looked at each mask and statue something ignited within me to create this photographic series. Each portrait has a specific meaning and embodies rich African culture. Pairing each capture with modern African art, I produced a blend of traditional portraits with abstract sensitivity.
